Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information
In short: a California resident can forbid the sale or sharing of their personal information, and this page is the notice.
Three routes carry an opt-out: an email, the Your Privacy Choices page, and the Global Privacy Control signal.
Homuvo sells nothing and runs no advertising pixel, so an opt-out confirms a state that already exists.
An opt-out is completed within 15 business days with no identity document.
Nothing about an order changes after an opt-out.
One right under two California statutes
California's Consumer Privacy Act, as the 2020 Privacy Rights Act amended it, lets a resident of the state forbid two things: a business selling their personal information, and a business passing it on so that advertisers can follow them across other sites. TCH LLC, trading as Homuvo, honors that instruction from every California resident and extends the same opt-out to residents of every other state that grants it, listed on the Privacy Policy. This page is the opt-out notice the law requires.
Three routes to opt out
The customer can opt out by any one of three routes, and one is enough:
- Send an email to contact@homuvo.com, subject line Do Not Sell or Share.
- Open the Your Privacy Choices page in the footer and use the switch it shows.
- Turn on the Global Privacy Control signal in a browser or extension, and let the browser send it on every visit.
The form on the Contact Us page also works, and so does the phone during business hours. Homuvo confirms every opt-out by email, whichever route carried it.
One email, three details, no proof of identity
The email route needs three details: the email address used on the order or the account, the name on it, and Do Not Sell or Share as the subject line. No copy of an identification document is required, and Homuvo does not ask for one. A customer without an order or an account can still opt out; the email address alone is matched. Someone acting as the customer's authorized agent may file it too, as long as a permission letter signed by the customer comes with the email.
Two words under a legal definition
The statute's two verbs have narrow meanings. Selling covers any case where a business lets personal information go to a second business and gets money, or anything else worth having, in return. Sharing is a transfer made so that the recipient can serve advertising based on the customer's activity across other sites, which the law calls cross-context behavioral advertising. Homuvo does neither. It passes delivery details to the fulfillment partner and the carriers so that a carton can travel, and payment details stay with the payment provider; those transfers are to service providers, which the law treats differently from a sale. No advertising network, data broker, or social media platform receives anything from homuvo.com.
One browser signal honored on every visit
A browser or extension that sends the Global Privacy Control signal is treated as a valid opt-out request for data sharing on this store, through Shopify's privacy settings, for a visitor in California and in the other states where Shopify's data sharing opt-out page is active; a visitor elsewhere uses the email route, which covers every state. The signal covers only the browser sending it; a customer who opts out by signal on a laptop and then shops on a phone should send the signal there too, or use the email route once, which covers every device.
Fifteen business days to complete the opt-out
An opt-out by email is confirmed within 10 business days and completed within 15 business days, counting from the day the email arrives. The switch on the Your Privacy Choices page and the browser signal take effect at once. Because Homuvo sells and shares nothing, completing the request means recording it so that the customer is never added to a sale or an advertising audience in the future, including after any change in this policy.
Take an email sent on Monday, November 2, 2026. The confirmation arrives by Tuesday, November 17, and the opt-out is recorded by Tuesday, November 24.
Two changes after an opt-out, and five constants
An opt-out changes two things: Homuvo records that the customer's information must never be sold or shared, and Shopify's privacy settings treat the customer's browser as opted out of data sharing. It leaves five things alone: the order ships, the tracking email arrives, the refund reaches the card, the help desk still answers, and the account still works. An opt-out does not stop the order, shipping, and refund emails, because those are part of the service and not marketing. Marketing email has its own unsubscribe link, and the two choices are independent.
Zero differences in treatment
Opting out changes nothing at checkout or afterwards: the same prices, the same shipping line, the same return window, and the same help desk as everyone else. Homuvo does not deny goods, charge a different price, or lower the service in response to an opt-out.
Sixteen as the age under the rule
Homuvo knowingly collects nothing from anyone under 16, so there is no sale to opt into or out of for a minor. If a parent or guardian believes a child under 16 has an account or an order, an email to contact@homuvo.com gets the information deleted. An authorized agent acting for a customer sends the signed permission described above.
